Child Care Benefit (CCB) and Child Care Rebate (CCR) entitlements

Prior to enrolment you will need to contact the Family Assistance Office (136150) and apply for child care benefit and rebate.
Child Care Benefit is a means tested application and will depend on your combined family income. Child Care Rebate is a government incentive that states families are also entitled to 50% rebate on all child care out of pocket expenses.

This can be paid straight to the service – creating a lower weekly fee or can be paid to your nominated account fortnightly, quarterly or at tax time. Family assistance will guide you with this process however we are happy to help if needed.

When you enrol your child in a Child Care Benefit approved service, you will need to provide information to match your family to the Child Care Management System.

This allows the service to create a formal enrolment and allows us access to your entitlements through the family assistance office. What you are entitled to will determine out of pocket expenses.

The details you need to provide are:

  • Family Customer Reference Number and date of birth, and
  • Child’s Customer Reference Number and date of birth
